Thank you very very much! Heh, I would love to be a pro mangaka!!!I am taking steps to get my name out there as well as work on my skills(lol, by doing doujin~) I will begin pursuing it a lot harder over the next year~ ^w^ It is very exciting!
Oh that second panel... Breaking my heart with that. And Alfred's face in that second to last panel. On the other hand the humor and cutie faces are great in panels 1, 3, and last. Alfred's murderous intention and Arthur's obliviousness make me giggle as well as Matthew's cat like nature perching nearby.
I just always lock onto the faces you do from serious to silly and they always seem to capture that emotion so well.
That how Mattie know about him nearly cuting his face. Poor france what now a strange thought came to me during this time England is fight France so this would be funny conversion. IN MY MIND- France (on the ground) Why do I feel like so does not want be a sexy as me England(staring at) oh that right Mathew is starting to shave France (look up pale) what do you teach him too. Alfred nearly cut an ear. (Looks down get more angry) And why do not you want him to look like his papa (back to fighting) Still it is nice Alfred in war still think like brother. This what I love of Hetalia like my high school history teacher said "war is not country going against each other is of human relation in a danger time". Hetalia show that.
Had that was my High school history teacher, but yay he was cool. He tried to show that history more human. Like he would some time go on about how in World War I when two truck were to meet and they were enemy the other would let them go. Stuff like that so that we remember war is way more the politics.
"Careful here or you'll cut your face off." Oh Arthur, you're so encouraging! Daww, freaking out Alfred and a lil' Mattie so so cute!! ^^ And Alfred so would be the one who wants to take Mattie for his first drink. I can see that having an amusing ending. Random thought of the day, if Alfred's glasses are mean to represent Texas (which I know that's why they don't appear in this manga) what are Mattie's meant to represent? Guess just interested as to why you choose not to put them on him in this I suppose. Just general curiosity
I love how you consistently show that they both obviously care greatly about each other, even though they're currently at war. Al's comment about him being the one who's supposed to teach Matthew how to shave is both sweet and sort of heartbreaking at the same time, because you can see just how much this war has affected them both as individuals, not just as countries. So wait, Matt's younger than Alfred physically? Or are they the same age now?
Thank you very much! I am glad that that aspect of the story is coming through, I really want to focus on how this is going to effect them over the next few years of war.
Heh, I am slowly making Matt get older in this comic, I figure since all the personifications look about adultish despite huge age differences I figure it is events that shape the nation's age, or mature them. Nothing like an all out war for your 'self' to put hairs on your chest, as it were. Matt is still younger physically but he is catching up as this war really did help to define the nation.
